Poison kills slowly and from the inside out, this is what sin does to us. This type of righteousness, the same righteousness that the Scribes and Pharisees had, poisons us from the inside and kills us from the outside, for eternity. God sees the root structure of our soul… We can bear delicious and desirable fruit, this is what Man and Woman see. But what does God see, God sees the Root structure of our heart. God sees the foundation of our heart, and this is what we most want to cover up from all, but to God, it is impossible to hide. Dead letter moralism is deadly, as it leads to our own death, an eternal death. There is no righteousness in killing one’s neighbour, Jesus teaches us to love thy neighbour as we love ourselves, but to Love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our minds, first.
