What is the song Mary sang all about? What was she responding to? What can we learn from her response to God? Mary was responding to God’s grace. God had revealed himself to her through an angel breaking the news that she will be the mother of the Lord Jesus. Mary obeyed God even when this was not an easy call. She magnifies God because he is the saviour. Just like Mary, we must follow God regardless of how difficult following him is. Because of God’s grace lavished upon us, we are called to obey and magnify him.
