19. Leading & Following in the Church

Series: Hebrews
Preacher: Roydon Frost
Bible Reading: Hebrews 13: 7-18
Date: 11 September 2022

So, in Hebrews 13v7-18, we read a letter from a Pastor to a Church, under constant attack from inside and out. “Remember your Leaders, those who spoke to you the Word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them. Hebrew 13v7-9” But what is the deeper meaning of this section of the letter? This passages gives us the responsibilities for the leaders. It clearly defines what they should be doing.

“Watch your life and your doctrine closely, speak the word and makes sure your life matches what you preach – This is what the passages tell the Pastors and Leaders of our Church to do. It clearly defines their roles and responsibilities…”

Join Pastor Roydon as he unpacks it further, and teaches us, what we, as ordinary members of the Church, need to do in order to support and obey the leaders appointed over us.
