Our Heavenly Father, the giver of good gifts, we thank You for preserving our world by Your power and Your hand of provision. As we look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into storehouses, and yet You feed them. Remind us that we, Your children, are worth more than mere birds. Give us faith when we are struggling financially. Open our hands to be generous with what we have. Use us as instruments to be a blessing to the many in our country who are facing unemployment. Help us to long for Your kingdom to come here on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

BIBLE PASSAGE: LUKE 12:35–59 DAILY PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for the day You have blessed us with. Thank You for always being there when we need You and also in the times when we think we don’t need You. Please help us remember that You are good all the time and not just when good things happen. Please forgive us for not making You the priority of our life. Lord, help us to put You first in everything we do and to remember to always stay awake, awaiting the return of our Lord and King. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
DATE: 17 FEBRUARY (DAY 18)
BIBLE PASSAGE: LUKE 13
Gracious and Merciful God, who is the embodiment of unconditional love. We ask that You forgive us for the times we have looked to ourselves and the world to find what only You can give. Help us to turn to You; to love and obey You in all that we do by entering the narrow door instead of choosing the way that leads to everlasting pain and anguish. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour. Amen.
