What does Grace look like? In Luke 15v11-32 we are told the story 0f a father and his two sons and their struggles, but how does this parable give us a picture of Grace?

So, the youngest son believes that he is entitled to his inheritance and to live his life as if his father is dead. The oldest believes that through his hard work and dedication he has earned his inheritance, but in actual fact, both have turned their backs on their father.

In the end we see a father’s love and Grace shine through and welcome his youngest son, who once was dead, but now is alive, back into the family. This upsets the oldest son immensely, who himself has turned his back on his father. But, how does this parable represent the Grace of God and his Love for us? It gives us a clear representation of just how much our Father in Heaven loves us, and welcomes us with open arms when we turn to him.
