Why Mission?
Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19. “…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria and to the ends of the earth” Acts 1:8.
Mission is part of who we are in Christ. We are “Servants on Mission”. God the Son has redeemed us into God’s family through his blood shed on the cross and He has given us the mandate to reach out to the world with the “good news” about himself. And of course, He will always be with us. (Mat 28:18-20). This is the “good news” that saved us and that we are to bring to the world.
Who is Mission for?
Mission is for everyone. We need teenage and adult volunteers who can take leave from their work and join us. No previous experience is needed, only a willingness to serve. You will be part of an experienced team, who will be able to show you the ropes. Some of the projects are ideal for families.
Where to?
Where to?
There are many aspects to Mission, but one of them is for our church to participate in various short-term mission projects. This year we have various short-term Mission Projects in Midrand, Tembisa, Gauteng, KZN, Limpopo, Free State, Mpumalanga Zimbabwe, DRC and Mozambique. Our staff throughout the year visit and support our church plants and other ministries in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, DRC and Rwanda. The mission projects in Zimbabwe, DRC and Mozambique require passports.
Due to the church’s financial constraints, our mission projects will require a financial commitment from yourself.
