Life groups are the small group setting in which we experience what it means to be a family in Christ. It’s the place where truth meets life – where the truth of God’s word speaks into our lives today and changes us into the likeness of Christ. It is a safe place where we can support each other in the faith, serve each other, carry each other’s burdens and hold each other accountable. Life groups are the place where we grow towards Christian maturity as individuals and as a Family.
What happens at life group?
Each week we spend time praying together. We will also read a passage from the Bible and discuss what the Bible has to say to us as we live from day to day. And of course, we will spend time eating and enjoying each other’s company. But we will never embarrass you. You will never be forced to pray aloud or to answer questions or read aloud.
“A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.”
Charles Haddon Spurgeon
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11: 28 – 30
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
C. S. Lewis
If you’re not part of a life group, you should be. Christians are not saved to live alone, we’re saved into a family (Ephesians 1:1 – 14). Why not sign up to a life group?
