Want to improve your handling of the Bible so you can better minister to others? Want to grow closer to Christ through a better understanding of his Word? Why not consider doing the Explore correspondence course offered by George Whitefield College (GWC)?
It’s no degree in theology, but it’s a little heavier than your average bible study. You will get a chance to delve deeper into theological topics through lectures, discussion and reading. At the end you’ll have an option to do an exam, which if completed will mean a lovely certificate to hang on your wall.
Eight modules exploring topics like:
The life of Jesus
The work of the Apostles
The Christian life
Starts January and follows the school terms.
Self-study (approximately 2-4 hours) with a weekly contact session (1h30mins).
Anyone who is keen. You!?
In the comfort of your own home (self-study) and with your church family.
R300 per module; R175 for pensioners and students.
“A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.”
Charles Haddon Spurgeon
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11: 28 – 30
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
C. S. Lewis
If you’re not part of a life group, you should be. Christians are not saved to live alone, we’re saved into a family (Ephesians 1:1 – 14). Why not sign up to a life group?
