Sorted is the one word that everyone wants to use to describe their life, yet it’s the one word that non of us feel we can. We look at our families, our marriages, our work, our social lives, our hobbies… just about everything and our honest evaluation is that we have not got it ‘sorted’. We’re not on top of our lives. Is it possible to be? Can there ever be a point in our lives where we can be satisfied?
Thankfully, there is. You, or some else who is also questioning life (Which I’m sure is almost everyone you know) can join one or more of the events or services happening from 29th September to 6 October 2019
Sunday Guest Services
SUNDAY 29 SEPTEMBER: 08h00, 09h30 and 18h00 Services
Dr. Nathan Lovellis a lecturer at George Whitefield College in Cape Town. Nathan has used his love of knowledge to gain 2 PhD’s and has a passion to impart that knowledge on others. He makes the bible come alive when he speaks as he uses what he has learnt to immerse us in its world and helps us see its relevance for today. It is well worth bringing unbelieving friends and family to hear him speak.
SUNDAY 6 OCTOBER: 08h00, 09h30 and 18h00 Services
Bishop Jomo Mchunu is the senior pastor and rector of Christ Church Hillcrest. Deeply passionate about seeing Jesus’ impact on people’s lives, Jomo enjoys the challenges of cross cultural ministries. His style of teaching is conversational and down to earth, making it really easy to listen to him as he expounds profound biblical truths.
How You can Get involved?
As a Redeemed Family of Servants on Mission we are having an “Outreach Week” from 28 Sept – 7 Oct. The purpose of the week is to share the love of Jesus with our friends and family. Our main Sunday speaker is Glenn Lyons. All our normal weekly activities for kids, teens, students and adults during that week will be focused on outreach. Life Groups will have a special outreach focus that week.
1. PRAY FOR 4 PEOPLE – you can invite to one of the meetings.
2. PLAN TO ORGANISE A MEETING – in your home/office/Courtyard Café where you could invite a few friends or colleagues to coffee to hear something about the Gospel. It could be something like a “Q & A” or “Grill-a-Christian” or a testimony. Either you or one of our staff will be delighted to speak at the meeting – big or small.
3. PLAN TO BRING A FRIEND – or colleague to the Christianity Explored Test Drive session on Sunday 14 October.
